Ever since we launched, one question keeps coming back: "Can I ask my own AI about these numbers?" Lots of you already use Claude or ChatGPT every day. You know how it answers, you trust it, and you'd rather dig into your results there than learn yet another tool.
We heard you. Le Confidant now has an MCP server, so you can connect Claude or ChatGPT to the statistics of your free analysis in a secure and private way.
Your numbers belong to you
Let's be upfront about one thing. Our own assistant, the one you can chat with about your analysis on Le Confidant, is part of our paid plans. On the free plan you can read the conversation, but you can't reply. That's what keeps Le Confidant running, and it isn't changing.
But the statistics we show you are yours. They describe your conversation, so you should be able to explore them wherever you like, including with an AI you already trust. That's what the MCP server is for, and it's free.
What's an MCP server?
MCP (Model Context Protocol) is an open standard that lets AI assistants use outside tools. Both Claude and ChatGPT support it. Once you connect Le Confidant, your assistant can read your analysis's statistics and talk them through with you, right in your own chat.
What your assistant can do
- Read the statistics for your whole conversation: total messages and how they split between the two of you, who starts conversations, reply pairs, reply times (median, typical range and average) and average message length.
- Explain them: what each number means, how it's measured and what it can't tell you.
- Show a results card right in the chat, in apps that support it, with a button to refresh the numbers.
- Disconnect as soon as you ask.
What stays private
- Your assistant never sees your messages. It only gets numbers: no message text, no excerpts and no names, not even the aliases you picked. The two of you show up as A and B, and the labels don't say which one is you.
- You approve every connection yourself, one analysis at a time, on a Le Confidant page in the browser you uploaded from.
- Access ends with your free hour. An hour after you upload, your assistant can't read anything anymore, and you can disconnect sooner whenever you like.
What it can't do
- Compare periods, like one month against another.
- Show paid insights such as the semantic analysis.
- Upload a chat or start an analysis. That always happens on leconfidant.ai.
- Connect to sessions upgraded to Pro or Advanced. It works with free analyses only.
How to connect
- Upload your chat on Le Confidant and wait for the free analysis.
- Add Le Confidant to Claude or ChatGPT using the server address
https://leconfidant.ai/api/mcp.
- Ask your assistant to read your analysis, then approve access in the browser you uploaded from.
Our guide walks you through each app step by step, with everything that's included and what to do if something goes wrong: connect Le Confidant to Claude or ChatGPT. We've tested it with Claude and ChatGPT; other assistants can't connect yet.
More MCP features are on the way soon, so stay tuned.
Thanks to everyone who asked for this. Keep the feedback coming, because it shapes what we build next:
